What process do I need to follow when entering Japan with my long term visa (i.e., a visa term longer than 3 months)?
You will be required to present your visa to the immigration officer when you arrive in Japan. They will issue a residence card on the spot which will act as your ID card throughout your stay in Japan as a resident.
