Hyogo prefecture is the only prefecture which is facing both the Sea of Japan and Seto Inland Sea in the Kinki area.
Hyogo prefecture has Kobe airport (UKB) and Tajima airport (TJH), but many people travel though Osaka International airport (ITM) and Kansai International airport (KIX), both located in Osaka prefecture, which is next to Hyogo.
The JR Shin Kobe station is connected to the JR Tokyo station by the Sanyo Shinkansen (bullet train).
There are many companies, including a variety of multinational organizations that are based in Kobe city.
